Summer In La Colonia

Summer is here and has been since early June. This is our second summer and, to me, it feels more like a hot oven than last year did. Summer is the rainy season but the frequency has been unpredictable this season as last year rain could be counted on every other day or so. So far rains are a week a part. Much too long between storms with 70% humidity and upper 90 degree temps. The evenings are hot, sticky and much too calm. At night ceiling and floor fans just don't provide much relief to us and the animals. The floor tiles are a nice way for the pets to stay cool.

If the seasonal rains don't come more regularly and cool us off the floor may be more crowed.

The plants and grass love the conditions and are growing like crazy. More pics of our flowers and trees.
